At 14:56 Station 207 (North Braddock), 113 Engine (Braddock), 153 Truck, and 171 RIT (Homestead) were alerted for smoke coming from a dwelling in the 200-blk of Lobinger Ave, North Braddock, As units were marking up North Braddock Police arrived and reported a working fire with fire showing from the 1st floor. 207 Engine, 153 Truck, and 113 Engine all arrived simultaneously with 207 Engine securing a water supply and 153 Truck beginning to set up in case it was needed. Personnel on these apparatus split into two crews, with one stretching a line and the other forcing entry to begin a search. The main body of fire was initially knocked down but heavy extension as found in the walls and 3rd floor. The 2nd Alarm was called for after roughly 15 minutes, this brought 192 Engine (Monoreville #1, 227 Truck (Penn Hills #7), and 135 Rescue (East McKeesport) to the scene. With the help on the 2nd alarm companies all remaining fire was extinguished and the fire placed under control after an hour onscene. 153 equipment operated for 3 hours. The Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating.
