On Wednesday at 15:49 stations were alerted for a dwelling fire in the 200-blk of Dorothy St, Wilkins Twp. With a crew in station 153 engine went enroute immediately after dispatch. The Engine and 303 Truck arrived to find a 2 1/2 story single family dwelling fully involved. A water supply was secured and units began a defensive attack with 302, 304, 122, and additional 153 apparatus arriving to assist. The bulk of the fire was knocked down in 20 minutes but extensive overhaul had to be completed. The Volunteers operated for over 4 hours before returning in service. The Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating.
